One of my favorite fundraising events (event of any kind, really) at Prairie Moon is the annual Winterlight Fair. The place always looks amazing for the big day and is full of interesting crafts, toys, art, food and people! It’s a strange kind of electric, but reverent energy. Every year this is your chance to win any number of products and services from local merchants – for possibly WAY less than you would elsewhere – all while helping our growing school.
Aside from being a site for unique gifts and good food, the Fair hosts a candle-making room, Russian tea room, puppet shows, student performances and more. The event is held at the old Grant Township building, home of Prairie Moon Waldorf School, just a few minutes from downtown Lawrence, KS. Head East at Teepee Junction on Hwy 40 for a few miles, just past the municipal airport. See you next year?
